Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to manage the sourcing and purchasing of technical materials, spare parts, and services required for steel pipe manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure cost efficiency, quality compliance, and timely delivery to support production and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities:
– Source and procure mechanical, electrical, and industrial materials.
– Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers.
– Conduct technical and commercial comparisons.
– Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
– Coordinate with production, maintenance, and warehouse departments to determine material requirements.
– Ensure purchased materials meet technical specifications and quality standards.
– Issue purchase orders and follow up on delivery timelines.
– Maintain supplier database and evaluate supplier performance.
– Monitor market trends and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
– Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field).
– 3–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in steel or heavy manufacturing industry.
– Strong technical understanding of industrial materials and spare parts.
– Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
