MRP Planner At PepsiCo

Responsibilities Main Activities

  • Lead the weekly Make Planning cycle and create material plans for assigned product categories.
  • Build and maintain the monthly MRP plan based on production requirements and available inventory.
  • Share MRP plans with the Bern Make Planning organization according to agreed timelines.
  • Identify material supply risks and opportunities, and propose alternative or constrained scenarios to support service levels.
  • Escalate potential material risks to the MRP Planning Lead and Procurement, and support issue resolution.
  • Validate production and material plans during weekly plan review meetings.
  • Assess medium- and long-term material availability using supplier feedback.
  • Monitor purchase requisition (PR) conversions and purchase order (PO) releases.
  • Track supplier performance and share insights with Procurement.
  • Support working capital management by identifying excesses or shortages and proposing corrective actions.
  • Create inventory projections for raw and packaging materials, aligned with agreed targets.
  • Review weekly business waste and provision snapshots in collaboration with Finance.
  • Develop business waste projections to reduce obsolescence and no-consumption risks.

Qualifications Qualifications

  • Fluent in English
  • 1–3 years of experience in Materials Planning, or a related supply chain function.
  • University degree in Engineering.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of material planning and production planning concepts.
  • Hands-on experience using ERP systems; SAP experience is required.
  • Intermediate Excel (pivot charts, pivot tables, formulas, data cleansing)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work with multicultural teams across regions.
