Job Purpose:
The Export Specialist is responsible for managing all export operations and documentation to ensure compliance with international trade regulations and timely shipment of goods. The role involves coordination with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and clients to ensure smooth export processes and efficient delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and shipping instructions.
Ensure compliance with customs, export control regulations, and company procedures.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and carriers for booking, scheduling, and shipment tracking.
Verify that all export documentation meets destination country requirements.
Follow up with clients, agents, and suppliers to confirm shipping details and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Monitor the status of shipments and provide regular updates to customers and internal departments.
Handle export declarations and liaise with customs brokers to facilitate clearance.
Maintain accurate records of all export transactions for auditing and reporting purposes.
Support finance in verifying freight, duty, and insurance invoices related to export shipments.
Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance export efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in export operations or international logistics.
Strong understanding of INCOTERMS, export documentation, and trade compliance requirements.
Experience working with customs authorities, shipping lines, and freight forwarders.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
English fluency (written and verbal); Arabic is an advantage.
