Job Title: Import Specialist
Department: Supply Chain / Logistics
Reports to: Logistics or Supply Chain Manager
Location: Quesna/ Menoufia
Experience Required: 2–4 years
🧭 Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate international purchases and imports of textile-related materials.
- Communicate with overseas suppliers to confirm purchase orders, shipping terms, and timelines.
- Prepare and review import documentation (e.g., commercial invoice, packing list, B/L, certificate of origin).
- Follow up on shipping schedules, customs clearance, and freight forwarding.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and HS codes.
- Track shipments and update internal teams on arrival status.
- Maintain records of imported goods, duties paid, and documents archived.
- Coordinate with finance department for payment processing and LC-related matters.
- Handle claims for damaged or delayed goods with suppliers or insurers.
- Work with warehouse or production teams to ensure smooth inward goods handling.
✅ Job Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in import operations, preferably in a textile or manufacturing company.
- Solid knowledge of incoterms, customs clearance process, freight forwarding, and import documentation.
- Experience in working with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Good command of English – spoken and written.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
🌟 Preferred: - Familiarity with textile industry raw materials .
- Experience working with LC (Letter of Credit) and bank procedures.
- Basic knowledge of export processes is a plus.
