Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Supply Chain Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing our supply chain processes, overseeing procurement and purchasing activities, and ensuring efficient logistical operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and adept at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement and Purchasing:

  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor stock levels to prevent both overstocking and stockouts, ensuring optimal inventory management.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvement plans as needed.
  • Generate purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Demand and Supply Planning:

  • Analyze historical data and market trends to forecast demand accurately.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and operations, to align supply and production plans with business objectives.
  • Monitor exceptions in demand forecasts and adjust supply plans accordingly.

Production Planning:

  • Develop production schedules based on demand forecasts and supply constraints.
  • Supervise exceptions of the production plan and manage delays in production to ensure timely completion of projects.

Logistical Operations:

  • Coordinate with logistics providers and collaborate with the sales team to ensure efficient transportation and delivery of products.
  • Oversee the warehousing processes and inventory management practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the supply chain.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Two plus years of experience in supply chain management, particularly in procurement and purchasing.
  • Strong understanding of demand and supply planning processes, as well as production planning.
  • Experience with logistics operations, including transportation and warehousing.
  • Proficient in supply chain management software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
