Supply Chain Manager
Reports To: Managing Director
Location: 6th October
Key Responsibilities
– Approve the annual budgets for the group’s material and operational requirements in line with approved purchasing plans.
– Supervise the Purchasing Department’s performance to ensure the timely provision of all required materials, equipment, and supplies while achieving optimal terms and prices.
– Review and analyze tenders and bid reports, lead negotiations with suppliers, and oversee the execution of contracts following approved award decisions.
– Participate in the preparation of technical specifications and tender documents, and manage the end-to-end tendering, evaluation, and awarding process.
– Approve supplier payment requests after verifying compliance with purchase orders and inspection reports, and coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure timely settlements.
– Oversee warehouse operations to ensure accuracy in receiving, issuing, and recording processes, maintaining proper documentation and stock integrity.
– Supervise the issuance of raw materials and operating supplies to departments in accordance with approved standards and specifications.
– Monitor and review stock levels of raw materials, consumables, tools, machinery, and spare parts, ensuring compliance with minimum stock thresholds.
– Control inventory records and reports to ensure data accuracy, monitor stock movements, and approve reports on inventory status and obsolete items.
– Lead and coordinate periodic and surprise inventory counts, reconciling results with financial records in collaboration with the Finance Department.
Requirements
# Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
# MBA is a must, preferably with a concentration in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
# Professional certification such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) is required.
# Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain or logistics management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
# Strong command of procurement, logistics, and inventory management systems, with experience in Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
# Excellent analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
# Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to influence and collaborate across departments.
