Job Description
- Participates in Business Plan formulation and articulation.
- Reviews department’s budget, identifies priorities and aspects of spending, to achieve company objectives.
- Sets the policies and procedures and ensures their conformity with the company’s policies and laws, and ensures that they are applied effectively.
- Leads strategic initiatives, identifies opportunities for growth and raises department’s efficiency.
- Manages teams of Planning & Follow up, Procurement, purchasing, Warehouses and Logistics.
- Coordinates with marketing to identify market’s needs in order to plan purchasing, storing and distribution activities.
- Formulate strategic contracts and agreements for procurement and strengthens relationships with strategic suppliers to achieve the highest return.
- Reviews periodic reports of planned and actual sales. Investigates variances and report to the Executive Committee.
- Approves the annual internal logistics (distribution) and external logistics (freight) to ensures compliance with company’s objectives.
- Supervises the workflow of the warehouse management and ensures compliance with the relevant standards and policies.
- Reviews slow moving items and recommends solutions.
- Holds performance appraisal sessions for his direct subordinates.
Develops, coaches and recommends the training needs of his team and follows up on implementation of their training and development plans.
