Job Summary:
As part of the Emerson Group Level Perfect Execution team, the Supply Chain Analyst will support Emerson’s 5-year strategic growth plan. The position will assist North Africa regional sales offices with day-to-day sourcing and shipping activities, and will require to work with HQ, local, regional and global teams to implement Supply Chain improvement programs. The role will be based out of Cairo office in Egypt.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Perform activities of Logistic Function with responsibilities for imports, exports, and cross-trade operations as per all corporate policies, guidelines, legal and statutory requirements.
- Preparing and submitting vital documents required for clearance of inbound and outbound shipments, across business systems and government/authority portals.
- Work with HQ and regional teams to implement and/or support Supply Chain Optimization programs/projects.
- Tracking and supervising shipments to ensure on time delivery.
- Liaise with internal and external collaborators to confirm shipment details, provide updates, and address any issues promptly, ensuring smooth communication and customer satisfaction.
- Perform activities of Procurement Functions with responsibilities for obtaining material, equipment & services at competitive prices and satisfactory quality levels through selection of quality vendors.
- Issue and completion of RFPs, RFQs based on AVL (Approved Vendor List) and corporate policies.
- Negotiate with the suppliers using structured process and in elemental detail for improving Emerson’s value, while following the principle of win-win.
- Develop strong Supplier-Emerson relationship and maintain AVL.
- Collaborate with suppliers for better payment terms and drive DPO improvement.
- Assist in procure to pay process, resolving Invoice/Payment issues along with other supplier disputes.
- Demonstrate very high level of integrity and drive compliance to the Emerson Code of Ethics.
Who you are?
- Experience in implementing and using Logistic software, Oracle Transportation Management, or similar systems is strongly desired.
For this Role, You Will Need:
- Multilingual (English, French and Arabic) – Written and Verbal Excellent Communication Skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, Logistics or related field.
- Professional Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain is highly desirable.
Preferred qualifications that set you apart:
- Three to five years of logistics and procurement experience within a multinational company in North Africa region.
- Involvement in direct negotiations with suppliers.
