Global Energy for Investment and Industry is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Storekeeper to join our team in the infrastructure industry. The ideal candidate will manage and maintain inventory, oversee materials and supplies, and ensure the efficient operation of the store or warehouse. Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, tools, and supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels and update inventory systems regularly.
- Monitor usage rates and reorder stock to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Storage and Organization:
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of materials for easy identification and retrieval.
- Organize inventory in compliance with safety and operational standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain purchase records, receipts, and supplier documentation.
- Prepare inventory and stock status reports for management.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines within the store area.
- Regular inspections should be conducted to identify and address any potential hazards.
Coordination:
- Work closely with project teams to understand material needs and timelines.
- Liaise with suppliers to manage deliveries and returns.
Qualifications and Skills
- A high school diploma or equivalent, as well as additional certifications in inventory management or supply chain, are a plus.
- Proven experience as a storekeeper, preferably in the infrastructure or construction industry.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Familiarity with safety standards and practices in a warehouse environment.
