Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Steel Factory Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our steel manufacturing plant. his role is designed to ensure operational efficiency, maintain high standards of safety and quality, and lead continuous improvement across all aspects of steel production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the steel manufacturing facility.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and cost efficiency.
- Implement and enforce best manufacturing practices and lean principles.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely supply of raw materials and dispatch of finished products.
- Develop and manage production plans to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive performance improvements.
- Reduce downtime and increase equipment utilization through preventive maintenance strategies.
- Manage plant budgets, control operating costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Work with finance to track production costs and report on profitability and efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical & Civil Engineering (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus).
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in steel industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in manufacturing ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, ISO standards, and environmental compliance.
