About the job
– Assist the Procurement Manager in developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies to optimize procurement processes and achieve cost savings.
– Support the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and contracting.
– Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements, provide guidance on procurement best practices, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
– Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and maintain a supplier database.
– Assist in negotiating and finalizing contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
– Monitor supplier performance, conduct supplier evaluations, and implement improvement initiatives to optimize supplier relationships and mitigate risks.
– Assist in analyzing procurement data, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and preparing reports for management review.
– Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement processes, and recommend adjustments to sourcing strategies as needed.
– Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, legal, and operations, to ensure smooth coordination and alignment in procurement activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Relevant certifications or a master’s degree is a plus.
- 3-5years of experience in procurement or supply chain management,
- Solid understanding of procurement principles, best practices, and procedures.
- Familiarity with sourcing strategies, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and systems for data analysis and reporting.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance standards is desirable
