Overview
Implement Procurement strategies in close cooperation with Category Managers. Manage the operational and transactional procurement for goods and/or services.
Responsibilities:
1-Health & Safety:
Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies and ensure that the highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained.
2-Functional:
- Manage Procurement activities of the category in accordance with the sourcing strategy, as well as applicable policies, procedures and specifications to deliver savings to the company and reduce total cost.
- Lead selected sub-category spend elements with close collaboration with his category Manager.
- Manage his/her day to day P2P operation in a state of the art mode, to ensure compliance and the highest level of controls.
- On time performance of the P2P tasks, in line with the internal control requirements.
- Manage the operational and transactional Procurement category in accordance with Lafarge category strategy, as well as applicable policies, procedures and specifications
- SAP PO and SA creation and follow-up.
- Act as the point of contact between country Category Management and stakeholders
- Monitoring supply efficiency, quality, and process improvements in Country, in line with regional and global strategies.
- Identify & report saving opportunities and initiate individual projects and initiatives at all operational levels, in line with his pre-defined scope of sourcing work.
- Negotiate in close coordination with Category Management for local volumes, processes, quality levels and prices
- Challenge requesters to have optimum and consolidated scope of work.
- Ensure contracts renewal by transparent bidding process before contract expiry.
- Introduce new potential suppliers/contractors in market with efficient alternatives
- Create and support the bidding process locally as defined by category strategy
- Align internal decision makers through focused communication

Qualifications
Education and Work Experience:
Education:
- Faculty of Engineering or commerce or equivalent
Skills:
- Good Knowledge in Category Management
- Good Knowledge of Different ERP Systems specially SAP
- Language & Communication Skills:
- Excellent Command of Spoken & written English
- Excellent Communication and Negotiation Skills
Experience:
- With 3-5 years of experience is a plus in a strategic procurement role (sourcing) with exposure to supply chain management, complex strategic sourcing and optimal procurement processes and standards.
- Demonstrated performance in working within cross-functional teams, with required drive and energy to ensure that the challenging benefits and capability building agenda are successfully delivered.
