You will be working as Buyer and will be the part of Motion business area for Drive Products division based in Cairo, Egypt. In this role you will be reporting to SCM Manager and will be responsible to purchase material according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and company guidelines, policies and T&Cs

Your responsibilities

  • Preparing the offers assessments to Identify the best suppliers in terms of cost, quality and delivery plan, negotiating agreements with main suppliers and periodically renewing pricelists, terms and conditions
  • Adapting corporate contractual framework to the local business needs, recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval, supporting bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information
  • Tracking goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensuring invoice processing, overseeing supplier performance (on time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolving performance issues
  • Initiating purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures and confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring and tracking supplier performance to purchase order requirements
  • Ensuring supplier orders acknowledgment/confirmation is in line with the customers’ requirements in terms of scope, delivery, quality and price, conducting all supply chain activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Contributing to vendor list management by collecting data from suppliers and ensuring accurate representation in the system (SAP, Pro Supply, etc.), maintaining updated information for any purchasing parameters and indicators
  • Monitoring and updating the system regarding supplier qualification results, developing logistics processes to ensure customer oriented and cost-efficient activities in inbound and outbound logistics and material management

Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain/logistic, marketing, business administration, or finance.
  • Minimum 4 years of experiences in Supply chain.
  • Problem-solving skills, computer skills in Microsoft office (mainly excel & SAP )
  • Experience in a similar industry is required
  • Fluency in English & Arabic languages is mandatory
