Senior Procurement Planning Engineer

We Are Hiring a ” Senior Procurement Planning Engineer”:

Job Description:
• Manage spare parts forecasting and assess volume requirements against planning assumptions.
• Advise the management team regarding the availability of spare parts, options, and consumables against the backlog.
• Place purchase orders (PO) within the agreed cost, lead time, and stockholding parameters.
• Monitor order progress and expedite inbound spare parts and equipment.
• Resolve any queries regarding delivery discrepancies, damages, late arrivals, and missed deliveries.
• Take follow-up actions in relation to the shortage of spare parts that affect the operation schedule.
• Maintain an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a regular and/or quarterly physical inventory and proper counter procedures.
• Create regular statistical reports, graphic analysis, and dashboards related to spare-parts forecast, orders, consumption, and shortage.
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality of data management.
• Support in developing annual spare-parts department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives.
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
Job Requirements:
• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in Procurement Planning & stock controlling.
• Experience in continuous operational improvement and the ability to act as a change agent.
• Very Good command of English.
• Solid experience in ERP systems “Procurement, warehouse, ..etc.”.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze, significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities, work to deadlines, and handle pressure.

• Job Location: 5th Settlement.
