Job opportunity: Senior Logistics
Job Summary:
The Senior Logistics is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s supply chain operations. This role involves planning, implementing, and controlling the efficient flow and storage of goods, services, and related information from point of origin to point of consumption.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
· Minimum 7 years of experience
· Proven experience in logistics management
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
· Proficiency in logistics software and systems
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Excellent in problem solving and analysis it
Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager
Roll Description
· Follow Up with Supplier: Regularly check on the order status until the materials are ready for collection
· Resolve Supplier Issues: Address any problems with order promptly. Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the supplier to find solutions.
· Revise Shipping Documents: Ensure all shipping documents, such as packing lists and commercial invoices, are accurate and reflect the final order details.
· Prepare Shipping Documents (if not provided by supplier): Prepare packing lists and revise the commercial invoices with accurate product descriptions, quantities, and values.
· Get Price Offers for Freight: Obtain quotes from several freight forwarders to compare pricing and services.
· Negotiate Freight Prices: negotiate for better rates based on the shipment volume or potential future business.
· Follow Up on Collection Process: Track the collection of the materials by the freight forwarder.
· Follow Up on Delivery Process: Monitor the shipment’s progress until it arrives at its destination.
· Follow Up on Release Process: Once at the destination, ensure the materials are cleared through customs and released for final delivery to your warehouse.
· Prepare Export Declaration Documents: In exporting materials, obtain the necessary export declaration documents and ensure they are accurate.
· Solve Declaration Issues: Address any complications that may arise during the customs clearance process.
· Maintain clear communication with all parties involved throughout the process to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery of materials.
