Senior Logistics Specialist At GRUNDFOS

What is the job about?

  • Contribute to the logistics team operations ensuring best in terms of procurement, planning & management of shipping services to support suppliers, production, DC, Grundfos Sales & customers.
  • To provide professional service in the order fulfillment to delivery/shipping processes and provide administrative and sales support.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the physical distribution for production/distribution centers functions both inbound from suppliers, and outbound to customers.
  • Daily execution of shipping according to agreed plans and service levels
  • Participate and implement continuous improvement projects and cost saving initiatives.
  • Support functional KPIs.
  • Act as local representative towards local customs authorities.
  • Contact Customers to communicate and coordinate order dispatch and shipment from distribution centers, with continuous interaction with internal Stakeholders.
  • Handle order fulfillment tasks & to follow up the schedule of deliveries agreed upon and take appropriate actions in case of deviations.
  • Record Customer complaints related to Logistics claims.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 2 years of related experience in a similar role preferably in a Trading/Manufacturing Company or 4 years’ experience in a similar role of Supply Chain Management / Order Handling / Logistics.
  • Previous experience within Customer Service and Supply Chain Management. Relevant administrative experience, organizational skills & accountability with the Customer.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of SAP-ERP Systems and proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
  • A good problem-solver with good practical abilities; and able to provide permanent solutions on recurring issues.
  • Initiate tasks with vigor and devoted to maintaining consistent progress over time.
  • Possesses very good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Has a good administrative background. Must have an eye for detail and the ability to work in a time-sensitive situation in a fast-paced environment. Able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Able to work effectively and as an enthusiastic team member.
  • Proactively provides support to fellow team members and shares knowledge / experiences willingly.
  • Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and applies feedback to improve performance.
  • Meets productivity standards and completes work in timely manner.
