Responsibilities
Job description includes but not limited to:
• Handling the entire purchasing process (Sourcing, purchasing, shipping and clearance).
• Reviews purchase orders to ensure adherence to quality and procedures.
• Communicate with vendors on items’ price, availability, delivery, quality, suitability and purchase supplies accordingly
• Preparation of documents for customs clearance for foreign orders either by sea, air freight and overland by coordination with finance department and submit the same to authorized customs clearance agents.
• Communicates frequently with customers & provides continuous orders follow-up with the suppliers and freight forwarders.
• Maintains effective record keeping on all purchase orders and supplier confirmations.
• Follows up on products status and delivery dates.
• Coordinate with various departments for smooth functioning of departmental activity
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in shipping and purchasing.
• Strong understanding of Logistics systems and countries regulations.
• Excellent English writing and speaking.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
