Identify potential suppliers and vendors for construction
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and agreements to optimize cost and quality.
Evaluate supplier performance and compliance with company standards.
Implement inventory management strategies to prevent shortages and overstocking, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier quotes to make data-driven purchasing decisions.
Assist in the development and management of departmental budgets, optimizing costs without compromising quality.
Create and manage purchase orders for agricultural supplies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procurement policies.
Coordinate and expedite order deliveries to meet production and planting schedules.
Ensure that purchased materials meet quality and safety standards, collaborating with quality control teams as needed.
Address any quality issues with suppliers and seek resolutions.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier contracts, and price agreements.
Generate regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in all purchasing activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Agriculture, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven 2-3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in construction sector.
Having construction experience is a must.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
Knowledge of agricultural supply chains and related products.
Understanding of quality assurance and inventory management practices.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Attention to detail and analytical skills.
Knowledge of environmental and regulatory requirements in the agriculture sector is a plus
