El Salam for Contracting and General Supplying is seeking to hire:
Purchasing Specialist
Job Description
-Performs the process of purchasing the required raw materials for the company
from its various locations in accordance with the company’s goals and
considering the achievement of the required goals and quality within a specific
time frame with complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
-Follows up purchase orders on daily basis, classifies them and sends the materials to be priced to suppliers.
-Reviews quotations for different materials and make sure that they technically match the required materials.
-Inspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items and resolving shortcomings.
-Make a comparison between bids received from more than one supplier (3 – 5 bids or more) to reach the best offer.
-Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditions.
-He issues supply orders to suppliers based on the purchase orders sent from the requesting side and sends them to the selected supplier to start supplying the required raw materials.
-Coordinates and follows up the supply in accordance with the company’s time frame.
-Issuing the required reports and data to the direct manager periodically to save the information for easy reference.
-Preparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records.
-He makes sure that the required percentage of savings is achieved in the total purchases.
-He periodically reconciles the suppliers ‘ covenants with the financial department.
Analyzing industry and demand trends and supporting senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
-Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply chain management, or other related qualification
Previous experience in Electrical and Aluminum Purchasing / Procurement from 4-5 years in the Construction industry
Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Skills of building good relationships with others
Very good Computer Skills MS Office.
