Horizon company for special chemicals in #ALEXANDRIA is calling for purchasing officer with solid experience in coatings industry

Responsibilities:
1) liaising between departments and suppliers, analyzing and comparing product prices, samples and negotiate procurement contracts
2) Identify and assess potential suppliers inside Egypt , prepare and manage supplier selections and finalize commercial agreements, coordinating with budget holders and support functions
3) Secure goods and services through acceptable procurement practices in a timely manner and be able to deliver results in tight deadlines
4) Be instrumental in setting up new procurement & purchasing agreements with suppliers inside Egypt
5) Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
6) Analyze and review company supplier agreements including terms, payment, delivery & logistics to ensure efficiencies/cost reduction.
7) Produce all necessary reporting, reports on organizational readiness, and prepare necessary presentations for senior management and operations organization
8) Build and maintain market knowledge of trends and suppliers and maintain a strong working relationship with key suppliers both regionally and internationally
9) To execute innovative strategic sourcing processes and focus on delivering the best value to the business.
10) To build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and user communities across business units.

Job Requirements
1) Alexandria residency is a must
2) bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or science
3) previous experience in coatings from 5-6 years is highly important
4) Minimum 5-6 years of experience in local Procurement & Purchasing at a corporate with suppliers
5) Strong understanding of Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Purchasing.
6) Excellent presentation skills with a keen ability to negotiate with suppliers long term relationships and an ethical approach to business are essential.
7) Good computer skills in particular outlook and Excel must be of a high standard.
8) Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
9) Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
10) Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
11) Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems
12) Strong communication skills in English are essential
