Job description:
Responsibilities
– Negotiate contracts with pre-approved suppliers to lock in bulk pricing and favorable payment terms wherever possible.
– Process purchase requisitions from project teams and convert them into purchase orders after obtaining necessary approvals.
– Track orders, follow up with suppliers on deliveries and resolve any supply chain issues proactively.
– Inspect incoming materials/equipment and verify specifications and quantities. Raise quality issues with suppliers if required.
– Maintain updated database of all suppliers including item catalogs, pricing and past performance metrics.
– Analyze spending patterns and historic bills of materials to accurately forecast procurement requirements.
– Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, local laws and Shariah guidelines in all procurement activities.
– Prepare periodic procurement reports for management including cost savings achieved and vendor performance dashboard.
– Explore newer supply market trends and make value-added recommendations to enhance operations.
Key Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or relevant field
– 2+ years of experience in procurement/purchasing
– English Fluent
– Hands-on experience of negotiating contracts and sourcing in the Middle East market
– Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
– Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
