Responsibilities:
1. Supplier Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of frozen products, ensuring they align with our quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and pricing, and address any issues that may arise.
- Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with international standards and certifications.
2. Procurement Process Optimization:
- Develop and implement efficient procurement strategies and processes for frozen products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
- Continuously monitor market trends, pricing, and availability of frozen products, and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement appropriate measures, such as bulk purchasing or alternative sourcing.
3. Contract Negotiation and Management:
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Review and analyze contract terms, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor contract performance, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality specifications.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to resolve any contractual issues or disputes.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with the quality control team to establish and maintain quality standards for frozen products.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and audits of incoming products to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Address any quality-related issues with suppliers and implement corrective actions as necessary.
5. Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of frozen products, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand.
- Collaborate with production and sales teams to forecast demand and plan procurement accordingly.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar procurement role, MUST in the frozen food industry.
- Deep knowledge of frozen products, including sourcing, quality control.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Familiarity with international standards and certifications related to food safety and quality.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and cultures.
- Familiarity with legal and contractual terms and conditions related to procurement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
