Job Description
- Review purchase orders to ensure they are by company policies and procedures.
- Develops and implements purchasing policies and procedures following company guidelines.
- Establishing relationships with suppliers who can provide quality products at a reasonable cost.
- Stay abreast of new developments in the field of purchasing and supply chain management.
- Approving critical purchase orders before the purchase of materials or services to ensure they meet all requirements.
- Negotiating prices with vendors to ensure that the company receives the best price possible for items being purchased.
- Monitors market trends and developments to identify opportunities for cost savings or improved quality.
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the purchasing department, including staff supervision and development.
