Procurement Specialist Engineer (Local & International) for an engineering systems company specialized in firefighting pumps:
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a must.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in procurement, with local and international sourcing experience.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier management.
• Familiarity with international trade regulations and customs procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and relevant procurement software.
• Fluency in English is essential.
Responsibilities:
• Identify and source materials, equipment, and services for local and international projects.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize costs and quality.
• Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify the best vendors.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions to optimize cost and minimize risk with suppliers to achieve the best possible terms and conditions.
• Monitor and analyze procurement data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Manage and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in procurement.

Source and identify new suppliers, evaluate capabilities, and negotiate win-win contracts
• Analyze technical specifications and ensure procured equipment meets company standards and client requirements
• Manage purchase orders, invoices, and other procurement documentation
• Oversee logistics and ensure timely delivery of equipment
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and build strategic partnerships
• Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Analyze procurement data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement
• Implement and improve procurement processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
• Manage inventory levels and stock optimization for firefighting pumps and spare parts
• Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and safety standards related to firefighting equipment.
