Procurement Specialist At Lafarge Egypt

Overview:

• Implement Procurement strategies in close cooperation with Category Managers. Manage the transactional procurement for goods and/or services.

1-Health & Safety:

• Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and
• policies and ensure that highest degree of safety and safe working practices
• are maintained.

2-Functional:

• Manage his/her day to day P2P operation in a state of the art mode, to ensure compliance and the highest level of controls.
• On time performance of the P2P tasks, in line with the internal control requirements.
• Overtime, scope can be expanded to own the sourcing (and transactional) work of a selected sub-category spend element with close collaboration with his category Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the transactional Procurement category in accordance with LafargeHolcim applicable policies, procedures and specifications.
• SAP PO and SA creation and follow-up.
• Challenge requesters to have optimum and consolidated scope of work.
• Ensure contracts renewal by transparent bidding process before contract expiry.
• Create and support the bidding process locally as defined by category.
• Negotiate in close coordination with Category Management for local volumes, processes, quality levels and prices – where applicable.
• Reporting.

Knowledge, Skills & experience:

Educational background: Faculty of Engineering or commerce or equivalent.

Experience:

• Fresh graduate or with ~1 year of experience supply chain, and/or procurement.
• Demonstrated performance in working within cross-functional teams, with the required drive and energy to ensure that the challenges are successfully met.

Technical Skills:

• Good Knowledge in Category Management.
• Good Knowledge of Different ERP Systems specially SAP.
