What Will You Do
- Manage day-to-day functioning of Purchasing Division.
- Review purchase orders to ensure adherence to quality and procedures.
- Ensure that re-ordering of stock is carried out on a daily basis as required.
- Participate in the creation of forecasts, and relates those to production programs and stock required for the daily production round.
- Represent purchasing in discussions and strategies aimed at improving the overall integration of purchasing, assets, and accounts payable.
- Review the technical specifications for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage the shipping, handling, and storage requirements on components to ensure high-quality items are received and issued to the appropriate departments.
- Coordinate with various departments for smooth functioning of departmental activity, particularly with technical and operation departments.
- Develop s and implements appropriate Ion and short-term strategic and tactical initiatives in order to achieve specific buying, and sourcing targets.
- Rate contracts/tendering /market surveys and data of prices for ready reckoning and instant estimations.
- Maintain data of all the prices approved as a record and keeps track of changes in prices frequently and updates.
- Review purchase orders to ensure adherence to quality and procedures.
- Oversee the purchase orders to Vendors and order acknowledgments from the Vendors.
- Follow up with Vendor for delivery and to get the material at the right time and required quantity at required locations.
- Maintain effective record-keeping on all purchase orders and supplier confirmations
- Coordinate with accounts for payment of suppliers and resolves issues if any.
What Do They Expect From YouYou
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
- Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including Oracle.
- Proven experience managing supply chain operations for 10- 12 Years
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
- Management and leadership skills.
