Procurement Lead At Sovyen (Alex , Cairo)

We are currently looking for a qualified candidate that would make a good fit for the Procurement Lead role.

Job location: Egypt (Alexandria/Cairo)
Reporting to: Plant Manager
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead Soyven Procurement function, ensuring compliance with Purchasing Policies and Guidelines.
· Lead initiatives to enhance procurement performance and drive continuous improvement.
· Manage procurement processes and develop strategies aligned with organizational needs.
·Oversee procurement budgets and payment processes for cost-effectiveness.
·Train and develop procurement team members, ensuring knowledge of policies and best practices.
· Implement and develop efficient procurement policies and procedures.
· Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, addressing issues and disputes as needed.
· Track and analyze key metrics to enhance cost and quality performance.
· Research market trends to identify new procurement opportunities and alternatives.
· Create procurement documentation and set objectives to support operational targets.
· Manage purchasing e-module and troubleshoot procurement system issues.
· Assigns and coordinates team resources to execute against short term and long-term strategies and meeting organizational objectives.
· Optimize procurement workflows and implement automation to improve efficiency.
· Develop risk mitigation strategies and emergency sourcing plans.
· Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier partnerships for sustained quality.
· Manage the end-to-end procure-to-pay process, from requisition to payment.
· Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure optimal terms and conditions.
· Finalize purchase requests, details, and orders in alignment with stakeholder requirements.
· Conduct spend analysis and prepare procurement reports for strategic insights.
·Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and compliance standards.
· Collaborate with departments to develop procurement strategies that meet business objectives.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in engineering but not a must.
· Minimum of 7 years of sourcing and procurement experience in industrial field, preferably in multinational manufacturing organizations.
· Minimum 3 years as a function manager.
· Proficiency of Computer Skills.
· Fluency in English and Arabic.
· High Integrity, accurate and contesting mindset.
· Excellent Communication and Negotiation Skills.
· Experience in leading and developing diverse teams.
· Relationship Building and embracing ability.
· Ability to explore and build Market analysis.
· Knowledge of Supply chain and Logistics, international shipping, and customs regulations.
· Ability to build strategies and teams and leverage compliance awareness.
· Continuous Improvement mindset.
