Key Responsibilities
Procurement Operations
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including RFQ preparation, bid evaluation, negotiation, and award recommendation.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and subcontractors based on technical capability, price competitiveness, and delivery performance.
- Review and verify material requisitions and specifications in coordination with engineering and project teams.
- Ensure all purchased materials and services meet project specifications, quality, and HSE standards.
- Prepare purchase orders and coordinate approvals in line with company DOA (Delegation of Authority).
- Track orders and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of materials at project sites.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure consistent quality and reliability.
- Negotiate commercial terms and long-term agreements to achieve cost savings and strategic sourcing benefits.
- Maintain supplier databases, evaluate performance, and support vendor prequalification processes.
Technical & Commercial Coordination
- Work closely with the engineering and project management teams to ensure technical compliance in all procurement decisions.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and material submittals to ensure proper alignment between project needs and supplier offerings.
- Provide input during project planning to forecast procurement requirements and lead times.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare procurement status reports and updates for management and project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement procedures, audit requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Contribute to process improvements and cost optimization initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial) or Supply Chain Management.
- For Procurement Engineer: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical or project-based procurement.
- For Senior Procurement Officer: Minimum 7 years of experience, including 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Proven experience in construction, MEP, or infrastructure projects preferred.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills in English
