We are looking for a Procurement Engineer ( Temporary contract ).
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and company objectives.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand material and service needs.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Prepare and review contracts, purchase orders, and other procurement documents.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions and manage contract variations and claims.
- Analyze and control procurement costs to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, price fluctuations, and supplier performance.
- Ensure all procured materials and services meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Work with quality control teams to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Monitor and track shipment schedules and resolve any delivery issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier performance, and contract management.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement status, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.
- Provide guidance and support to junior procurement staff and other team members.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment within the procurement team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in procurement.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support overall business objectives and initiatives.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management.
- Excellent English
- 5 years of experience in procurement, in an engineering and water treatment environment is a Must
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. –
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems is a must.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in procurement.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
