About the job

We are looking for a Procurement Engineer ( Temporary contract ).

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and company objectives.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand material and service needs.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  • Prepare and review contracts, purchase orders, and other procurement documents.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions and manage contract variations and claims.
  • Analyze and control procurement costs to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, price fluctuations, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure all procured materials and services meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Work with quality control teams to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Monitor and track shipment schedules and resolve any delivery issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier performance, and contract management.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement status, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior procurement staff and other team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment within the procurement team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in procurement.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support overall business objectives and initiatives.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management.
  • Excellent English
  • 5 years of experience in procurement, in an engineering and water treatment environment is a Must
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. –
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems is a must.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in procurement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
