About The RoleProcurement Buyer-Egypt is responsible to manage overall GMG Procurement. Handling suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality across the categories – Admin, IT ,LP,FM & Fit Out(Store Opening)Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible to source, negotiate and purchase materials from vendors.
- Following and enforcing the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
- Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
- Evaluate vendor quotations to ensure that they align with the technical and commercial specifications required for the project.
- Daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing and following up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules.
- Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
- Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
- Work with team members and Procurement manager to complete duties as needed
- Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.
- Maintain and update a list of suppliers and records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Create purchase orders.
- Sending the payment set of documents to the GRN team to close the PO after receiving (items/Services), then sharing the Docs long with the GRN ref. number to the booking team to book the payment.
- Sharing the proof of transfers with the suppliers once received from the Finance team
- Creating down payment requests on the system for the advance payments.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Review the quality of purchased products.
- Developing benchmarks and scorecards to be used for continuous improvement
- Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Educational Qualifications And Certificates
- Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain/ CIPS/Professional Course in Procurement.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years in a similar role
