What will you do?
Team Management
- Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals (buyers).
- Set performance goals, provide mentorship, and evaluate team members.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Sourcing and Procurement Strategy
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize supplier relationships.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials & Packaging.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing.
- Resolve conflicts and address performance issues.
Collaboration with Leadership Team
- Work closely with other departments (Legal, Marketing, HR, production, finance…etc.) to align procurement activities.
- Provide input on strategic decisions related to procurement and supply chain.
What you bring?
- Education Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business Administration from an accredited university.
- Work Experience 10-15 years of procurement and team leadership experience
- Language Knowledge Fluent Written & Spoken English & Arabic
Technical Skills
- Procurement Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing, and supplier management.
- Familiarity with international procurement regulations and standard processes.
- Supply Chain Management
- Understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations.
- Ability to optimize inventory levels and minimize lead times.
- Data Analysis
- Ability to analyze procurement data, track performance metrics, and identify trends.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
Soft Skills
- Leadership Skills mentor & develop team members and establish KPIs and track performance metrics for the procurement function.
- Relationship Management Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and team members is crucial. Effective communication and trust are essential.
- Negotiation Skills The ability to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers is vital. A skilled negotiator can achieve cost savings and win-win outcomes.
- Adaptability Procurement professionals must adapt to changing market conditions, supplier dynamics, and interpersonal needs. Flexibility is key.
