Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Planning and Management:
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and customer demand.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement inventory control strategies to minimize excess and obsolete stock.
- Material Coordination:
- Develop material replenishment plans based on forecasts and historical data.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Track inbound shipments and resolve any delays or discrepancies.
- Demand and Supply Alignment:
- Collaborate with demand planners to ensure inventory plans align with sales forecasts.
- Communicate with suppliers to manage lead times and mitigate potential supply disruptions.
- Adjust plans dynamically to respond to changes in demand or production schedules.
- Performance Metrics and Reporting:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, fill rates, and stock accuracy.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory health, stock levels, and material planning performance.
- Identify and address gaps in performance metrics to enhance operational efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in initiatives to optimize inventory processes and reduce carrying costs.
- Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance material planning accuracy.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in inventory and material management.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
