Role Overview:

Maintenance Planner Specialist plays an important role in spare parts coding and procurement tracking within SAP, scheduling and documenting preventive maintenance, and setting up fault notification systems to address breakdowns swiftly. By analyzing usage data, identify gaps and recommend inventory and maintenance improvements. Working closely with maintenance and supply teams, help minimize downtime and streamline operations, while maintaining comprehensive reports that support performance tracking and continuous improvement.

In your role you will:

  • Register and code all machine spare parts in the SAP system according to company standards.
  • Track and follow up on spare parts purchase orders to ensure timely procurement.
  • Monitor and schedule periodic maintenance activities and ensure they are recorded in SAP.
  • Set up and manage a breakdown notification system on SAP to log issues and alert relevant teams.
  • Analyze maintenance and spare parts data to identify gaps and suggest inventory and maintenance improvements.
  • Work closely with different departments to ensure spare parts availability and minimize downtime.
  • Generate periodic reports on spare parts consumption, maintenance schedules, and equipment performance.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Solid understanding of HACCP, GMP, FDA, and local food safety regulations, including sanitation protocols and contamination prevention.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical). Certification in Maintenance Management or SAP is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in PM, PdM, TPM, and RCM methodologies, with knowledge of food processing equipment lifecycle, sanitary design standards, and washdown requirements.
  • Skilled in coordinating maintenance with production workflows, managing seasonal and batch transitions, and optimizing spare parts inventory using MRP and control systems.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with SAP PM/MM for managing work orders, assets, and reports, with the ability to draft technical documentation such as BOMs, manuals, and checklists.
  • Skilled in data analysis and the use of Excel/Power BI to monitor KPIs and maintenance trends, with familiarity in planning tools like Microsoft Project or Gantt-based planners.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, and automation in the food industry, with attention to documenting and verifying activities for safety and compliance audits.
  • Strong problem-solving under pressure, effective communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and time management to meet maintenance deadlines.
  • Flexibility in learning new technologies and adapting to evolving work environments.
