Primary Accountabilities:
1. Ability to see the big picture: to be able to zoom out and visualize processes from start to finish, and to have the ability to anticipate what could go wrong with everything from packaging to shipping and delivery.
2. Be organized: to have the ability to plan, schedule, prepare paperwork and deliver goods on time.
3. Close follow up: get involved in all shipping process from the start right until goods delivery to the destination.
4. Solution orientated: to minimize problems before they happen, and to be quick to respond if they do happen.
5. Team player: will have to work with a large and diverse range of people, therefore solid team work skills are essential.
6. Attention to details even the smallest ones are a must: small mistake in documents can lead to return the shipment or even destroy it in addition to customs penalties.
7. Negotiation skills: to get best quotations and challenge forwarders rates.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Receiving and reviewing the full set of shipping documents and ensure that it is all correct and identical with the shipment.
2. Register all related shipment info on “Nafeza portal” to get the ACID number “Advanced Cargo Information Declaration” to proceed with the shipment.
3. Send this ACID # to shipper and to make sure that this number is mentioned on all shipping documents and uploaded on Cargo X portal as well.
4. Sign the documents uploaded on Cargo X by the shipper electronically to admit that these documents are correct and we are fully responsible for the shipment and what it contains.
5. Monitoring the ETA for the shipment to prepare the paperwork needed for customs clearance before vessels arrival to avoid any demurrages.
6. Send the full set of documents to our customs broker and follow-up with him until receiving the shipment in the plant.
7. Prepare all shipping documents and send them to our consignee to get their approval on documents and to confirm shipping date with them.
8. Follow up with forwarder to get the containers ready on time at our plant for uploading until the vessel leaves and receive the final Bill of Lading.
9. Receive the invoices related to all these processes, review them to make sure that it is identical with the quotation that we have, then to make the payment requests to them.
Experience and qualifications:
1- Bachelor’s degree in related to logistics.
2- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in logistics coordinator
3- Fluent in English (Is a Must).
4- Appropriate qualification in business or related field.
5- High integrity and High energy.
6- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
7- Proficient with office technology.
