Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Logistics Manager to oversee and manage our transportation vendors, logistics from factory to warehouse, third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses, and last-mile delivery operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods, maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Management:
Select, negotiate, and manage contracts with transportation vendors.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with transportation vendors to ensure reliable service and competitive rates.
Monitor vendor performance and implement improvement plans as needed.
Transportation Management:
Oversee the logistics and transportation of goods from the factory to the warehouse.
Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods, optimizing routes and methods.
Coordinate with factory and warehouse teams to streamline operations and minimize delays.
3PL Warehouse Management:
Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
Ensure 3PL warehouses meet company standards for inventory management, safety, and efficiency.
Conduct regular audits of 3PL warehouses to ensure compliance with company policies.
Last Mile Delivery:
Oversee last-mile delivery operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers.
Implement strategies to improve delivery speed and reliability.
Monitor delivery performance and address any issues or bottlenecks promptly.
Inventory and Order Management:
Coordinate with inventory control teams to ensure accurate inventory levels and timely order fulfillment.
Manage the logistics of order processing, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of orders from receipt to delivery.
Cost Management:
Develop and manage logistics budgets, aiming to reduce costs while maintaining service quality.
Analyze logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, including key metrics and improvement initiatives.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of logistics coordinators and support staff.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelorโs degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in a similar industry.
Proven experience managing transportation vendors, 3PL warehouses, and last-mile delivery operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Proficient in logistics and supply chain management software.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills:
Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).
Experience with ERP systems.
Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
Working Conditions:
This position may require occasional travel to vendor sites, 3PL warehouses, and other company locations.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet the demands of the role.
