Job Description
- Coordinate and manage all import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to import/export activities, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs forms
- Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Monitor shipment status, address potential delays, and provide updates to internal stakeholders and customers
- Analyze shipping rates and negotiate contracts with freight carriers to optimize costs
- Identify areas for process improvement within the import/export operations
- Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations in shipping processes.
Personal Skills
- Experience from 0 to 2 years.
- Proven experience as import/export specialist or in a similar logistics role.
- Strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
Technical Skills
– Experience on ACID / NAFEZA system.
– Well aware of customs requirements and documentation proficient in Excel and data analysis.
– Proficient in English language.
