Job Purpose
Meeting the needs of all company departments with the aim of ensuring the production process runs as required, and working to provide the lowest price and best quality for all company supplies.”
Responsibilities
1 – Conducting price comparisons and offers, which helps in making the right decision regarding purchasing processes.
2 – Following the company’s policies and regulations to complete the purchasing process.
3 – Coordinating with the warehouse management regarding the addition of received items.
4 – Following up on the payment of supplier invoices to maintain a good relationship between the company and suppliers.
5 – Monitoring the arrival of items and ensuring they match the specifications listed in the purchase order, in coordination with the warehouse and the purchase order.
6 – Obtaining samples of the items to be purchased from the market and presenting them to the requesting department before making the purchase.
7 – Conducting a thorough market study and tracking price fluctuations to ensure purchasing at the lowest price.
8 – Prioritizing purchases based on what helps in the smooth flow of the production process.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or related field
• 1 – 3 years of experience in Local Purchasing
• Previous experience in Steel Fabrication Industry is a Plus
