Job Purpose
To lead and manage the procurement of indirect goods and services—including production equipment, tools, PPEs, process materials, maintenance / operations, IT, facility services, and all administrative services—ensuring cost-effective sourcing, supplier performance, and alignment with the operational and strategic goals of the automotive assembly business.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect categories.
- Conduct market analysis and supplier benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead RFI/RFQ processes to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements with suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure reliability and quality.
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs (quality, delivery, cost, compliance).
Cost Optimization & Budget Control
- Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives through vendor consolidation and strategic negotiations.
- Track procurement spend and savings; report performance against budget.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure procurement aligns with financial targets.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Standardize procurement processes and implement best practices across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
- Assess and mitigate risks related to supplier reliability, contract terms, and market volatility, to ensure business continuity.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with departments such as Operations, Finance, IT, and HR to understand needs and align procurement strategies.
- Participate in capital investment planning and support sourcing of capital equipment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. Master’s or MBA preferred.
- Certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent are a plus.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in procurement, including at least 3 years in a managerial role focused on indirect procurement within automotive or manufacturing environment.
- Fluent in Arabic & English.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Deep understanding of SAP system is a must.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in spend analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Knowledge of local market dynamics and regulatory environment in Egypt.
