Job Title: Import Specialist

Work Location: Cairo, Sheraton

Job Purpose:
To manage and coordinate all import operations, ensuring timely and compliant clearance of shipments in accordance with company policies and customs regulations. The Import Specialist works closely with customs brokers, shipping lines, and clients to ensure smooth flow of goods from origin to destination.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle and monitor all import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other related documents.

Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines to ensure timely clearance and delivery of imported goods.

Verify accuracy of import documentation and compliance with customs laws and regulations.

Track shipments and provide regular updates to clients and internal departments.

Liaise with suppliers and overseas agents to obtain shipping documents and resolve discrepancies.

Review and ensure HS codes, duties, and taxes are applied correctly.

Maintain proper records of all import transactions and documents for audit and reporting purposes.

Assist in resolving any customs queries or delays that may arise during the import process.

Support the finance department in reconciling import-related invoices and charges.

Coordinate with the logistics team for transportation, delivery scheduling, and warehouse arrangements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.

Minimum 2–4 years of experience in import operations, customs clearance, or logistics.

Strong knowledge of customs regulations, HS codes, import procedures, and INCOTERMS.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.

English proficiency (written and verbal); Arabic is an advantage
