Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• organize all aspects of road freight transportation operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Select truck contractors and service providers to secure transportation capacity and competitive rates.
• implement plans to optimize transportation routes, minimize transit times and reduce transportation costs while maximizing efficiency.
• implement cost saving initiatives such as consolidation, mode shifting and backhaul optimization.
• providing regular updates on shipment status, delivery schedules and identify potential risks and disruptions.
• Review import documentation and ensure accurate completion of all shipment documentation and compliance with regulations & Tariffs.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders “MRP, procurement, finance and warehouse” and external partners “logistics service providers and suppliers” to facilitate the smooth flow of shipments through customs.

Experience
