Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Import and Export Specialist to manage and optimize our international trade operations. This role will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and compliant flow of our alternative wood products and accessories across borders. There is also a potential opportunity for the successful candidate to work in our Turkey office, subject to certain conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of import and export processes, including documentation, customs clearance, and logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade regulations and laws in Egypt and potential destination countries.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective shipments.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate import and export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
  • Track shipments and proactively address any potential delays or issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with international partners.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential new import and export opportunities.
  • Analyze trade data and prepare reports on import and export activities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of international trade strategies.
  • Handle business correspondence professionally and effectively.
  • Potentially transition to our Turkey office based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in import and export operations, preferably within a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in business letter writing and professional communication.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems for import/export management.
