Job Purpose
The Head of Procurement is responsible for leading and managing the company’s procurement operations, strategies, and supplier relationships to ensure the acquisition of high-quality goods and services at the most competitive prices. This role ensures procurement activities align with organizational objectives, cost-efficiency, compliance, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company’s goals and financial targets.
- Drive cost optimization and operational efficiency across all procurement categories.
- Establish procurement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier consolidation efforts.
- Procurement Operations Management
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process (RFP, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance).
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Monitor procurement performance metrics and generate management reports.
- Implement e-procurement tools or ERP systems to streamline operations.
- Supplier & Contract Management
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with key vendors and suppliers.
- Develop strategic partnerships and long-term supplier agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring quality, delivery, and cost standards are met.
- Manage supplier risk and ensure business continuity plans are in place.
- Budget & Cost Control
- Manage the annual procurement budget and track expenditure against forecasts.
- Implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.
- Support finance teams with accurate procurement forecasting and reporting.
- Leadership & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to enhance capability and performance.
- Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, Projects, and Legal).
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Industry Experience: Must have experience in the IT Sector and Saudi Market
