Incorporate organization-wide operation regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into the manufacturing process. Also, a manufacturing manager monitors production metrics, responds to them, and resolves problems.Strategy And Development
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
- Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization.
General And Task Management
- Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization.
- Effectively and efficiently manage the production of the required daily/weekly/monthly targets in line with customer specifications, meeting quality and delivery expectations, minimizing costs where possible and ensure the required best working practices are always maintained.
- Ensure the target productivity level is achieved daily.
- Drive process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by appropriate data analysis
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
People Management
- Ensure the delivery of the People Strategy within area of accountability.
- Manage, coach, and develop a high performing manufacturing team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.
- Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
- Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required.
Demand Planning
- Supervise demand planning team in demand management activities.
- Oversee daily activities of the team and provide guidance as needed.
- Work with management, inventory, supply chain and sales teams in demand planning operations.
- Identify demand forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plans.
- Develop demand plan based on business trends and demand patterns.
- Analyze and troubleshoot demand related issues in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist in developing annual budgets and cost-effectiveness initiatives.
- Maintain training materials and organize trainings to team members.
- Follow and enforce company rules and regulations.
- Develop routine and ad-hoc demand related reports for management.
- Schedule forecast review meetings with management on regular basis.
- Maintain demand planning processes to improve forecast accuracy.
- Work with team to plan, coordinate and execute demand planning activities.
- Update forecasts for new products, seasonal products, discounts, promotions.
Supply Planning
- Anticipate and maintain stock levels to ensure the business runs smoothly.
- Assess the financial structure and inventory storage capabilities of the business.
- Count and track inventory across multiple warehouses.
- Anticipate stock demands based on current and future business functions.
- Analyze and anticipate market trends for the best time to purchase inventory.
