Key Responsibilities:
1- Freight Management:
- Plan and execute inbound international shipments (air, ocean, land) for raw materials, and equipment.
- Optimize routes and cargo space to minimize costs and transit times.
2- Cost Negotiation:
- Secure competitive freight rates with carriers (e.g., Maersk, MSC) and 3PLs.
- Analyze and reduce demurrage, detention, and ancillary charges.
3- Shipment Monitoring:
- Track shipments in real-time using TMS tools; resolve delays (port congestion, documentation holds).
- Coordinate with suppliers, customs brokers, and warehouses for urgent deliveries.
4- Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to Egyptian transport regulations.
- Prepare weekly reports on freight costs, OTIF (On-Time-In-Full), and carrier performance.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field from a reputable university.
- Experience:
- 3–5 years in freight management, preferably in F&B/FMCG.
- Hands-on experience with Egyptian ports (Alexandria, Port Said) and Incoterms (FOB, CIF).
- Skills:
- Expert negotiator with a track record of reducing freight costs.
- Proficiency in ERP/TMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Fluency in Arabic & English (written and spoken).
- Certifications (Preferred): CIFFA, CSCP, or similar.
