Freight Supervisor At Americana

Key Responsibilities:

1- Freight Management:

  • Plan and execute inbound international shipments (air, ocean, land) for raw materials, and equipment.
  • Optimize routes and cargo space to minimize costs and transit times.

2- Cost Negotiation:

  • Secure competitive freight rates with carriers (e.g., Maersk, MSC) and 3PLs.
  • Analyze and reduce demurrage, detention, and ancillary charges.

3- Shipment Monitoring:

  • Track shipments in real-time using TMS tools; resolve delays (port congestion, documentation holds).
  • Coordinate with suppliers, customs brokers, and warehouses for urgent deliveries.

4- Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure adherence to Egyptian transport regulations.
  • Prepare weekly reports on freight costs, OTIF (On-Time-In-Full), and carrier performance.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field from a reputable university.
  • Experience:
  • 3–5 years in freight management, preferably in F&B/FMCG.
  • Hands-on experience with Egyptian ports (Alexandria, Port Said) and Incoterms (FOB, CIF).
  • Skills:
  • Expert negotiator with a track record of reducing freight costs.
  • Proficiency in ERP/TMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Fluency in Arabic & English (written and spoken).
  • Certifications (Preferred): CIFFA, CSCP, or similar.
