Responsibilities
- Approach new partnership brands, negotiate the best profitability/discounts with them, coordinate with them on replenishment order process & operational coordination between both parties.
- Researching the collection of products, trends, sales figures, and competitors in the local market during specified periods of time (seasonality).
- Assisting country managers & local innovation & Design team with the research input to determine the local portfolio.
- It considers the financial objectives by advising the right product pricing strategy to continuously improve the profitability and seasonality of the product selection.
- Planning of assortments entails the evaluation of individual product attributes including Brand, Size, Style, Color, Function, Price, and Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) performance during selection to address the preferences and advise the operation team on it.
- Works closely with country manager to plan product mix within the timelines established for financial planning and the product calendar.
- Collaborate with procurement team and innovation & design teams to expand product categories.
- Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory.
Requirements
- A BSc degree in business administration, marketing or related field
- 6-8 years of category management experience
- Proven experience as category manager or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of marketing and sales operations and processes
- Hands on experience with analyzing big data and making forecasts
- An excellent grasp of spatial, design, and promotional planning.
- Solid knowledge of basic computer operations.
- Solid knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles
- Ability to think from a consumer perspective and understand buying behavior.
