fic Responsibilities

  • Works closely with functional, operational, and other business stakeholders to facilitate accurate and complete material and service requirements
  • Develops a technical understanding of business requirements for third party materials and services
  • Identifies opportunities to drive transactions to preferred/strategic suppliers
  • Manages purchase order processing manually, in SAP / Ariba, including:
  • Processing purchase orders for materials and services
  • Administering change requests
  • Working with business stakeholders to resolve open purchase order

commitments for materials and services

  • Maintaining and updating pricing or delivery date changes on material and service purchase orders
  • Executes transactional bidding procedures
  • Ensures the following for services:
  • A contract exists and is referenced
  • Proper buying channel usage and proper documentation is provided (e.g., Scope of Work)
  • Requisition contains a complete and accurate description of service to be performed
  • Negotiates purchase agreements with suppliers and creates price files following the appropriate process
  • Supporting Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interfaces with Contracts, the Category Management and Strategic Sourcing team to drive alignment on Terms & Conditions, category and contracting strategies and requirements.
  • Supports the Contracts & Procurement team in driving towards achievement of all aspects of transactional excellence in planning, solicitation, development, negotiation, execution, and administration of purchases.
  • Ensures compliance with related policies and contract processes and standards
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of the Procurement Standards & Key Procedures
  • As required, supports the resolution of issues/disputes (pricing, quality, timing, claims, liens, etc.) associated with purchases
  • Instructs business stakeholders on how to request materials and/or services using the correct processes and tools
  • Establishes strong relationships with key stakeholders within Apache to facilitate information sharing, best practices, and lessons learned
  • Other tasks, as required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Academic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant Business / Technical discipline
  • Years of Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience providing buying / procurement support
  • Upstream Oil & Gas experience with specific planning and supply chain activities related to drilling, completion, or production is preferred
  • Proficiency & Experience
  • A self-starter who can excel with limited supervision
  • Results oriented
  • A blend of strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to understand technical & operational requirements as it relates to Supply
  • Chain Management
  • Ability to handle multiple activities and changing priorities
