As part of OTAK’s continued growth and expansion plan for the second half of 2026, we are looking for a Senior Local Purchasing Specialist to join our team.
Job Purpose
The Senior Local Purchasing Specialist will manage local purchasing activities, including supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, commercial negotiation, purchasing coordination, supplier follow-up, and purchasing documentation.
The role will ensure timely procurement at competitive commercial terms while maintaining supplier quality, purchasing compliance, and proper transaction traceability.
Key Accountabilities
Local Purchasing & Supplier Management
- Manage local purchasing requirements from Purchase Request through delivery.
- Source, evaluate, and develop qualified local suppliers.
- Obtain and evaluate competitive quotations.
- Prepare commercial comparisons and supplier recommendations.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and other commercial conditions.
- Follow up on supplier commitments, purchase orders, and deliveries.
- Monitor supplier performance and address delays, quality issues, and non-compliance.
- Coordinate with Warehouse, Finance, Business Units, and other relevant departments.
Commercial & Cost Optimization
- Identify cost saving opportunities and commercially competitive alternatives.
- Monitor local market prices and supplier trends.
- Support supplier development and continuous improvement of purchasing practices.
Purchasing Control & Documentation
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, quotations, comparisons, approvals, and delivery documents.
- Maintain the Local Purchasing Register and ensure full transaction traceability.
- Ensure compliance with purchasing procedures and Delegation of Authority.
- Escalate critical purchasing issues and support management with relevant commercial insights.

Required Education
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education qualification.
Minimum Required Experience
- More than 5 years of relevant experience in local purchasing .
- Proven experience in supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, negotiation, and supplier follow up.
