Job Purpose

The Supply Chain & Stock Analyst is responsible for the systematic execution of material planning and inventory control to ensure operational continuity and cost-efficiency. This role acts as a critical link between engineering requirements and procurement fulfillment, maintaining the integrity of the CMMS ecosystem while identifying opportunities for process optimization.

Material Planning & Requisition Management

  • Execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP) by converting maintenance work orders and material bookings into accurate purchase requisitions.
  • Monitor and adjust Reorder Points (ROP) and safety stock parameters based on current consumption trends and lead times.
  • Track the status of pending purchase orders with the Procurement Team to ensure timely delivery and minimize operational downtime.
  • Validate all system-generated requisitions against technical specifications provided by the Maintenance and Engineering departments.

Stock Control & Optimization

  • Analyze inventory levels to maintain an optimal balance, actively preventing both overstocking and critical stockout scenarios.
  • Audit received materials against purchase orders to ensure physical items match system data before finalizing inventory transactions.
  • Investigate discrepancies in stock levels and recommend corrective actions to maintain high-fidelity data within the CMMS.
  • Identify slow-moving and obsolete (SLOB) materials to support warehouse space optimization and financial health.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Performance

  • Serve as the primary focal point between Maintenance and Procurement to align spare part requirements with sourcing activities.
  • Collaborate with maintenance engineers to facilitate service-related needs, including equipment calibration and external repair workflows.
  • Conduct regular review meetings with the Procurement team to identify bottlenecks in the supply chain and improve vendor delivery timelines.
  • Support the development of KPIs and visual dashboards to track stock turnover and overall supply chain service levels.

Safety Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive safety culture within the workplace and attend any safety-related meetings or briefings as required within the job role.
  • Comply with the requirements of RDMC RQHSE Policy and Safety Management System.
  • Be mindful that Safety, Security, and Environmental protection are everyone’s responsibility. All staff members are accountable for reporting and intervening in any Safety, Security, or Environmental violations.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Supply Chain (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is highly preferred.
  • Strong command of technical English, both written and verbal, for cross-departmental reporting.

Knowledge

  • Advanced proficiency in IBM Maximo or a similar Tier-1 CMMS/ERP system.
  • Deep understanding of inventory management principles, including EOQ, Safety Stock, and Lead Time analysis.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Power Query) for data modeling and reporting.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in material forecasting, inventory management, or procurement, preferably within a maintenance-heavy or transportation environment.

  • Respond effectively to changing priorities, urgent requirements, or unexpected challenges in supply chain activities.
