Senior Fulfillment & Logistics Manager At Breadfast.

Role Objective:

The Senior Manager, Fulfillment & Logistics (Shops) oversees Breadfast’s end‑to‑end logistics and fulfillment operations for the Shops vertical, Breadfast’s dedicated channel for brand‑partner electronics and appliances. Leading a lean, agile team within a warehouse model, this role drives district‑level fulfillment, secure handling of high‑value inventory, reverse logistics (returns/RMAs), and last‑mile fleet execution via an owned fleet of driver associates. The objective is to optimize delivery SLAs, enforce inventory security, and minimize delivery costs while scaling same‑day Shops fulfillment through a streamlined warehouse network.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Operational Leadership & Capacity Planning

  • Execute logistics and fulfillment strategies tailored to Shops and high-value consumer goods to meet same-day delivery SLAs.
  • Lead process optimization, labor scheduling, and storage allocation across warehouses and last-mile fulfillment hubs.
  • Build medium- to long-term resource plans (fleet sizing, specialized packing stations, security infrastructure, and labor) matching Shops growth forecasts.

2. Fulfillment Operations (Shops)

  • Drive operational excellence across receiving, put-away, high-value cage storage, picking, packing, and dispatch for Shops SKUs.
  • Enforce serial number / IMEI scanning and tracking protocols during inbound and outbound processing to prevent fulfillment errors and shrinkage.
  • Standardize warehouse workflows, optimize picking routes for Shops products, and improve labor productivity while maintaining fragile-item packaging standards.

3. Last-Mile Delivery & Fleet Management

  • Oversee daily same-day delivery logistics, including rider fleet allocation, route optimization, and 3PL partner performance.
  • Manage specialized delivery requirements for Shops items, including secure transit, customer verification at drop-off, and high-value order tracking.
  • Drive continuous improvement in key service metrics: On-Time Delivery (OTD), Click-to-Deliver lead times, SLA compliance, and customer satisfaction.

4. High-Value Inventory Security & Reverse Logistics

  • Implement strict security, access-control, and shrink-prevention protocols across all warehouse cages and transit routes for high-ticket Shops items.
  • Manage Reverse Logistics & Returns: Build streamlined workflows for customer returns, open-box processing, initial technical inspection, and vendor Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs).
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliation cycles to maintain high inventory accuracy across all hubs.

5. Performance Governance & Cost Optimization

  • Define and monitor daily/weekly operational KPIs (Order Prep Time, Same-Day SLA Compliance, Cost-Per-Order, Return Processing Speed, Shrinkage/Loss %).
  • Manage key logistics cost drivers, including rider payout models, specialized packaging costs, 3PL delivery rates, and damaged inventory expenses.
  • Standardize SOPs for Shops inventory handling across all operating hubs and conduct routine compliance audits.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Commercial/Category Management (Shops), Tech, Product, and Customer Experience teams to ensure accurate live inventory feeds and smooth customer order tracking.
  • Work with Tech and Product teams to build custom WMS/TMS features (e.g., serial tracking, multi-item bundling, return-at-doorway protocols).

7. Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Shops Fulfillment Supervisors, Fleet Coordinators, and Dispatch Managers.
  • Build a performance-driven culture focused on package safety, high delivery accuracy, transit security, and operational efficiency.
  • Establish clear career pathways and cross-training programs across fulfillment and last-mile operations.

8. Process Innovation & Automation

  • Deploy digital route optimization tools, real-time fleet tracking, and automated warehouse staging systems.
  • Lead continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) projects to optimize packaging efficiency, reduce dispatch handover times, and lower unit delivery costs.

Required Education, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in supply chain, warehouse operations, or last-mile logistics, with at least 3+ years managing electronics, high-value retail, or/and e-commerce fulfillment.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of same-day fulfillment models, high-value asset protection, reverse logistics/RMAs, and rider fleet management.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with WMS, TMS, route optimization platforms, and serial/IMEI inventory tracking systems.
  • Leadership & Execution: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team-leadership skills with a track record of driving down cost-per-order while maintaining high delivery SLAs.
