Production Supply Specialist
Role Description
full-time, on-site role as a Production Supply Specialist based in Cairo, Egypt.
Monitor and optimize inventory levels and planned order quantities at both components and finished good levels.
Communicate effectively the manufacturing capacity and resource utilization to support retail demand with great flexibility.
Forecast activities associated within the assigned role
Role Responsibilities
Sales & Operational Planning:
Partner with upstream and downstream planners and the Operations team to meet customer needs (long term and short term) while limiting additional cost.
Capacity Planning:
Develop detailed production schedules to support Master Production Schedule (MPS) for the various product families.
Accountable for weekly, monthly and seasonal capacity visibility for Zone/Retail Planners.
Consolidate demand from all custom zones into short and long term production plans to ensure production capacity aligns with global demand
Order & RM Planning
Execute necessary transactions such as planned production orders, delivery orders, and work orders.
Review production output against detailed schedules and communicate the constraints to Zone/Retail Planners in advance to help in decision-making.
Maintain on-going relationship and communication with Suppliers to ensure that purchase orders are delivered as per schedule, quantities, and pricing.
Interact with multiple departments to ensure smooth material flow, address issues such as material shortages, receiving issues, etc.
Supplier Management
Develop and maintain long term relationships with Suppliers and co-workers, promoting Decathlon values, transparency, objectivity and fairness.
Work towards Supplier autonomy by process improvement projects as per Decathlon standards in a continuous improvement mindset.
Work closely with the Supplier Planning team at factories to understand constraints and/or other issues and alert forecast changes instantly.
Role Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain or Business (Preferably Textile Engineering, Supply Chain Management)
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Communication: Fluency in English with strong interpersonal skills to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
Mobility: Ready to travel, be mobile, and work directly on the factory floor.
